MELBOURNE - Jun 30/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high centred over South Australia will drift slowly eastwards, reaching New South Wales on Wednesday. A cold front will move over agricultural areas from Thursday afternoon. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers about the southern agricultural area contracting to the Lower South East coast by evening. Morning fog and possible early frost in the west. Cool to mild with moderate westerly winds in the south and light winds further north.Tuesday 2 JulyPossible isolated light showers about the Lower South East coast. Morning fog. Cool to mild with light winds tending moderate northwesterly in the south and west.Wednesday 3 JulyFine apart from possible early morning fog over the southeast. Cool to mild with mainly moderate north to northwesterly winds.Thursday 4 JulyScattered showers developing about the southern coast during the afternoon and evening with isolated showers extending over southern agricultural areas. Possible showers extending over northern agricultural areas. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northwest winds shifting cooler, fresh to strong southwesterly following the change later in the day. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday morning until midnight Thursday are expected to be less than 2 mm inland, increasing to 2 to 10 mm about southern agricultural areas and the West Coast district. Isolated falls of 10 to 20 mm are possible about southern coasts and ranges, mostly occurring later on Thursday.Friday until SundayShowers over agricultural and southern Pastoral districts gradually easing and contracting southwards.
