MELBOURNE - Jun 30/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system near the Bight extends a ridge across the state while a low pressure trough lies off the northern NSW coast. The trough will deepen tonight with a low forming within the trough on Monday before moving away from the coast during Tuesday and Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayScattered showers on the north and central coasts with rain developing near the northern half of the coastal fringe in the evening. Isolated showers over the northern ranges. The chance of thunderstorms over the northeast. Partly cloudy remainder. Southeast to southwest winds.Monday 1 JulyAreas of morning fog in the south and west. Rain areas in the northeast tending widespread near the coast with possible moderate to heavy falls. The chance of showers near the Victorian Border over the southern inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southeast winds, tending west to northwesterly in the southeast.Tuesday 2 JulyRain and showers in the northeast easing. The chance of showers over the southwestern ranges and slopes. Partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds, tending west to northwesterly in the southeast.Wednesday 3 JulyIsolated showers in the northeast clearing. The chance of light morning showers over the southern ranges and slopes.
