MELBOURNE - Jun 28/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system west of Adelaide extends a ridge across northern Victoria. The high will be slow-moving for a few days. Meanwhile a series of weak cold fronts embedded in a westerly flow will cross Tasmania during the weekend and early next week. On Tuesday the high pressure system will be located over western New South Wales. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayEarly frost patches in the north and west east and morning fog patches inland. Isolated showers, mainly near the coast and in the northeast. A cool day with light winds tending light to moderate westerly near the coast.Sunday 30 JuneMorning fog patches inland and early morning frost in the northeast. Isolated showers near the western and central coasts extending inland over western areas during the afternoon. A cool day with light west to southwesterly winds tending moderate to fresh westerly near the coast.Monday 1 JulyIsolated showers over most districts near and south of the ranges. A cool to mild day with light to moderate west to northwesterly winds, locally fresh near the coast.Tuesday 2 JulyIsolated showers in southern and mountain areas, mainly near the coast, but remaining fine over East Gippsland. Fine over the north.
