MELBOURNE - Jun 28/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure trough over over eastern New South Wales is slowly moving east and weakens as a high pressure system near the Bight extends a ridge across the state. Another low pressure lies trough off the north. During Sunday the offshore trough will deepen with a low forming within the trough on Monday before moving away from the coast during Tuesday and Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayMorning fogs, mostly in the south. Partly cloudy in the far southwest. Isolated showers remainder, tending scattered over the central and northern ranges and coast and becoming widespread near the central and north coasts. The chance of thunderstorms in the northern and central coasts, slopes and ranges. South to southeasterly winds, tending northeasterly along the central and northern coast.Sunday 30 JunePartly cloudy in the far west. Scattered showers on the north and central coasts with rain developing near the northern half of the coastal fringe in the evening. Isolated showers elsewhere. The chance of thunderstorms over the northeast. Southeast winds.Monday 1 JulyRain areas in the northeast tending widespread near the coast with possible moderate to heavy falls. Partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southeast winds.Tuesday 2 JulyRain and showers in the northeast easing. Partly cloudy.
