Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 27/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A 1028 hPa high pressure system is centred over the southern Tasman Sea. A weakening trough of low pressure near southern coasts of South Australia will move slowly eastwards tonight and Friday. A new high pressure system will become established over the western Bight on Friday and will remain near stationary during the weekend then move slowly eastwards early next week.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers south of a line Ceduna to Keith. Cool with mainly light winds.Friday 28 JuneIsolated showers over the agricultural area and west coast. Possible isolated showers in the far northwest. Early fog patches. Early frost patches mainly on and east of the Flinders Ranges and about the Riverland. Cool to mild with mostly light winds.Saturday 29 JuneIsolated showers over the southern coasts and possibly the remainder of the southern agricultural area and west coast. Patchy morning fog in the south. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, tending westerly near southern coasts.Sunday 30 JuneIsolated showers over the agricultural area and west coast. Patchy morning fog in the south. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southerly winds tending westerly in the south.Monday 1 JulyIsolated showers about the southern agricultural area. Cool to mild with moderate westerly winds in the south and light winds further north. Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday afternoon until midnight Monday are expected to be 5 to 10 mm about the southeast coast and Mount Lofty Ranges, 2 to 5 mm over much of the southern agricultural area, and less than 2 mm elsewhere.Tuesday until ThursdayIsolated light showers about the southern coasts of Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East on Tuesday. Isolated showers developing about southern coasts late Wednesday, extending to the southern agricultural area and west coast on Thursday and increasing to scattered showers about the south of the Lower South East.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Friday.Product IDS10033
