MELBOURNE - Jun 26/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A complex low over the northern Tasman Sea will continue to move steadily east today extending a trough to the far north NSW coast. A strong high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea extends a ridge over Victoria with a fairly moist east to southeast stream over much of NSW. A weak upper level trough is expected to cause some shower activity west of the ranges over the next couple of days. A stronger upper trough may cross the state over the weekend with a surface trough deepening off the southern Queensland/northern NSW coast. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayScattered showers near the northern coast and adjacent ranges and northwestern slopes. Isolated showers most remaining districts though fine about the southern ranges and in the far southwest. Early frost patches about the southern ranges. Morning fog patches, particularly in the east and south. South to southeast winds, fresh on the north coast. Dangerous surf conditions.Friday 28 JuneFine in the far southwest. Isolated showers remainder, scattered on the north coast. Southeasterly winds.Saturday 29 JuneFine in the far west. Isolated showers remainder, scattered on the north coast.
