Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 26/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A complex low over the central Tasman Sea will move steadily east tonight while a s strong high southeast of Tasmania extends a ridge across southwestern NSW. The high will move east over the southern Tasman tomorrow and extend a ridge across Victoria with a fairly moist east to southeast stream over much of NSW. A weak upper level trough is expected to cause some shower activity west of the ranges over the next couple of days. A stronger upper trough may cross the state over the weekend with a surface trough deepening off the southern Queensland/northern NSW coast.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayScattered showers along the coast and eastern ranges, possibly moderate to heavy at times on the Mid North Coast. Isolated showers about western slopes of the ranges. Southeast winds, fresh along the coast. Dangerous surf conditions for the central and southern coast.Thursday 27 JuneScattered showers near the northern coast and through the central third of the state. Isolated showers most remaining districts though fine about the southern ranges and in the far southwest. Early frost patches about the southern ranges. Morning fog patches, particularly in the east and south. South to southeast winds, fresh on the north coast. Dangerous surf conditions.Friday 28 JuneFine in the far southwest. Isolated showers remainder, scattered on the north coast. Southeasterly winds.Saturday 29 JuneFine in the far west. Isolated showers remainder, scattered on the north coast. Southeasterly winds.Sunday 30 JuneScattered showers on the north coast, more widespread along the coastal fringe. Isolated showers remainder of the northeast. Fine elsewhere.
