Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 24/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred near Tasmania will move slowly southeastward to be centred over the southern Tasman Sea on Wednesday. A weakening trough will move over western and southern coasts on Thursday then another high will develop over the south of WA on Friday and move to a position over the far west of SA over the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers over Kangaroo Island, Mid North and Flinders districts, Yorke Peninsula, coastal parts of Eyre Peninsula and the far south of the Northeast Pastoral. Cool with light northeast to northwesterly winds.Tuesday 25 JuneMorning fog patches over central and eastern districts and Eyre Peninsula. Local early frost about and east of the Flinders and Mt Lofty Ranges. Cloud increasing over the far west with possible isolated showers developing later. Cool to mild with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds.Wednesday 26 JunePossible isolated showers developing over the far west and southern parts of the State during the day, more likely about the western coasts, Lower Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island. Possible early morning fog and frost on and east of the Flinders and Mt Lofty Ranges. Cool with light to moderate north to northwesterly winds, freshening about the coast.Thursday 27 JuneIsolated showers about the southern and western coastal districts. Possible isolated showers in the far northwest. Cool to mild with mainly light winds.Friday 28 June
Isolated showers about the southern agricultural area and near western coasts. Patchy rain possible in the far northwest. Cool to mild with mostly light winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday afternoon through until midnight Friday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm near southern and western coasts and the far northwest with local falls of 10 to 15 mm possible about the Lower South East coast. Less that 2 mm is expected elsewhere.
Saturday until MondayIsolated showers about the southern agricultural area and near the west coast of Eyre Peninsula, possibly extending over remaining eastern districts south of Broken Hill on Saturday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Tuesday.Product IDS10033
