MELBOURNE - Jun 23/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system will be centred just to the southeast of Tasmania during today and Tuesday as a low pressure system develops off the NSW coast. The low is expected to move eastwards over the Tasman Sea on Wednesday. The next cold front will move from the Bight towards western Victoria late Wednesday then will weaken and slide southeastwards on Thursday. Forecast for the rest of MondayMorning fog and frost patches. Isolated showers possible across most central and eastern districts falling as snow above 1400 metres. Showers tending scattered over East Gippsland. A cool to cold and partly cloudy day with light to moderate easterly winds, fresh about parts of the coast.Tuesday 25 JuneMorning fog and frost patches. Isolated showers over Gippsland and the far northeast and also along the central coast. Showers falling as snow above 1400 metres. A cool to cold and partly cloudy day with generally light winds winds and moderate to fresh east to southeasterly winds near the coast.Wednesday 26 JuneMorning fog and frost patches. Isolated showers over Gippsland gradually clearing from the west . Cool to mild with light winds tending northerly over western districts.Thursday 27 JuneMorning fog and frost patches over central and eastern areas then a cool to mild day. Isolated showers over the southwest and in the far east but dry elsewhere.
