MELBOURNE - Jun 23/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system near Tasmania will move slowly eastward to be over the southern Tasman Sea on Tuesday. A weak trough will move over western and southern coasts on Thursday. Forecast for the rest of MondayEarly morning fog. Possible isolated showers over Kangaroo Island, the Mid North, Flinders and southern Northeast Pastoral districts, and remaining areas surrounding Spencer Gulf waters. Cool with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds.Tuesday 25 JuneEarly morning fog patches, mainly east of about Spencer Gulf. Cloud increasing over the far west with possible isolated showers developing later. Cool with moderate northerly winds, freshening in the west.Wednesday 26 JunePossible isolated showers developing over the far west and southern parts of the State during the day, more likely about the western coasts, Lower Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island. Possible early morning fog on and east of the ranges. Cool with light to moderate north to northwesterly winds, freshening about the coast.Thursday 27 JunePossible isolated showers about the southern agricultural area and the West Coast, more likely closer to the coast. Cool to mild and mainly light winds. Cumulative rainfall totals for the remainder of Sunday through until midnight Thursday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm about the southern and western coasts and the far northwest with generally less that 2 mm elsewhere. Isolated falls of 5 to 10 mm are possible in the far northwest.Friday until SundayFine apart from some possible isolated light showers clearing from the coasts and some patchy rain extending across the far north of South Australia.
