Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 23/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system will move slowly eastwards across Tasmania during Sunday and will extend a ridge northwards across Victoria. The high will be centred just to the southeast of Tasmania on Monday and Tuesday as a another low develops off the NSW coast. The low is expected to move eastwards over the Tasman Sea on Wednesday. The next cold front will move from the Bight towards western Victoria late Wednesday then will weaken and slide southeastwards on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers over the far east and about the Gippsland coast this evening. Isolated showers also over the far northwest. Fine elsewhere. Generally light winds inland and east to southeast winds about the coast.Monday 24 JuneMorning fog and frost patches. Isolated showers possible across most central and eastern districts falling as snow above 1400 metres. Showers tending scattered over East Gippsland. A cool to cold and partly cloudy day with light to moderate easterly winds, fresh about parts of the coast.Tuesday 25 JuneMorning fog and frost patches. Isolated showers over Gippsland and the far northeast and also along the central coast. Showers falling as snow above 1400 metres. A cool to cold and partly cloudy day with generally light winds winds and moderate to fresh east to southeasterly winds near the coast.Wednesday 26 JuneMorning fog and frost patches. Isolated showers over Gippsland gradually clearing from the west . Cool to mild with light winds tending northerly over western districts.Thursday 27 JuneMorning fog and frost patches over central and eastern areas then a cool to mild day. Isolated showers over the southwest and in the far east but dry elsewhere. Light variable winds in the east, but light to moderate northerly winds developing over the west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Monday.Product IDV10310
