Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 23/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low over northern Eyre Peninsula will continue to weaken overnight. A high pressure system over Tasmania will move slowly eastward to be over the southern Tasman Sea on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayFine over the northern Pastoral districts and the southeast. Isolated showers over the Flinders and Mid North districts and the south of the North East Pastoral district clearing this evening. Possible isolated showers clearing from remaining central and western districts. Chance of isolated evening thunderstorms over the waters south of Port Lincoln and kangaroo Island. Cool with light to moderate northeast to southeasterly winds, tending southwest to northwesterly in the west.Monday 24 JuneEarly morning fog. Possible isolated afternoon showers over the Flinders and southern Pastoral districts, and remaining areas surrounding the Gulf waters. Cool with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds.Tuesday 25 JuneEarly morning fog patches, mainly east of about Spencer Gulf. Cloud increasing over the far west with possible isolated showers developing later. Cool with moderate northerly winds, freshening in the west.Wednesday 26 JunePossible isolated showers developing over the far west and southern parts of the State during the day, more likely about the western coasts, Lower Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island. Possible early morning fog on and east of the ranges. Cool with light to moderate north to northwesterly winds, freshening about the coast.Thursday 27 JunePossible isolated showers about the southern agricultural area and the West Coast, more likely closer to the coast. Cool to mild and mainly light winds. Cumulative rainfall totals for the remainder of Sunday through until midnight Thursday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm, decreasing to less than 2 mm in the northeast. Isolated falls of 5 to 10 mm are possible along the coastline and in the far northwest.Friday until SundayFine apart from some possible isolated light showers clearing from the coasts and some patchy rain extending across the far north of South Australia. Generally mild with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds turning northeast to northwesterly in the west during the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Monday.Product IDS10033
