Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 22/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure system near Adelaide will weaken as it approaches southern NSW today. A high pressure system will move slowly eastwards across Tasmania during Sunday and will extend a ridge northwards across Victoria. The high will be centred just to the southeast of Tasmania on Monday and Tuesday as another low develops off the NSW central coast. The low is likely to move northwards on Tuesday before heading over the Tasman Sea on Wednesday. The next cold front will move from the Bight towards western Victoria late Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayWidespread morning frost and patchy morning fog. A dry day to follow over much of the State but isolated showers about the Gippsland coast extending inland across East Gippsland and about the eastern ranges. Isolated showers also over the far northwest clearing during the morning. Showers falling as snow above 1200 metres. A cool to cold and mostly sunny day. Light to moderate east to southeasterly winds, locally fresh about the coast and eastern ranges.Monday 24 JuneMorning fog and frost patches over western districts. Isolated showers possible across most central and eastern districts. Showers tending scattered over East Gippsland. Showers falling as snow above 1400 metres. A cool to cold and partly cloudy day with light to moderate easterly winds, fresh about parts of the coast.Tuesday 25 JuneMorning fog and frost patches. Isolated showers across the east, mainly over Gippsland. Showers falling as snow above 1500 metres. A cool to cold and partly cloudy day with generally light winds.Wednesday 26 JuneMorning fog and frost patches. Isolated showers in the far east. Isolated showers also near the western border extending over western districts during the day. Cool with light to moderate northerly winds, freshening over the west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Sunday.Product IDV10310
