MELBOURNE - Jun 22/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low near Whyalla will move slowly north and weaken during Sunday. A high pressure system well south of the Bight will move slowly eastward to be near Tasmania on Sunday and over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayFine day over the northern Pastoral districts and the southeast. Isolated showers over the remainder, scattered at first over Yorke Peninsula the Flinders and Mid North districts and the south of the North East Pastoral district. Early morning fog patches. Cool with light to moderate northeast to southeasterly winds, tending southwest to northwesterly in the west.Monday 24 JuneEarly morning fog patches. Possible isolated afternoon showers over the south of the North East Pastoral district. Cool with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds.Tuesday 25 JuneEarly morning fog patches east of about Spencer Gulf. Possible isolated showers developing over the far west. Cool with moderate northerly winds, freshening in the west.Wednesday 26 JuneIsolated showers developing over western and southern parts, possibly extending over northern agricultural areas later in the day. Cool to cold with light to moderate northeast to northwest winds, freshening about the coast. Cumulative rainfall totals for Sunday through until midnight Wednesday are expected to be less than 2 mm across the north of the State and over the southeast, increasing to 2 to 10 mm over the remainder with local falls of 10 to 15 mm possible over the southern Pastoral, Yorke Peninsula, and the Flinders and Mid North districts.Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers about agricultural areas at times, possibly over the western border during Friday. Generally mild.
