MELBOURNE - Jun 21/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure trough over South Australia will extend into western NSW tonight. On Saturday a low pressure trough will deepen over the western Tasman Sea, while a high pressure ridge will develop over Tasmania, cradling this trough and extending a ridge over western New South Wales. On Sunday and Monday transient low pressure centres will develop within the low pressure trough in the Tasman, enhancing rainfall areas over the NSW coast and eastern ranges. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers along the coast and about the northeast. Isolated showers also developing in the far southwest tonight. Generally light winds. Dangerous surf conditions.Saturday 22 JuneIsolated showers along central and southern parts of the coast, increasing later in the day. Scattered showers in the far west with very isolated light showers through much of the remainder of the inland. Southeast to northeast winds. Dangerous surf conditions, easing in the south.Sunday 23 JuneRain about central and southern parts of the coast and eastern ranges with locally moderate to heavy falls. Isolated showers about the north coast, western slopes of the ranges and about far western border areas. South to southeast winds, fresh to strong along parts of the coast.Monday 24 JuneRain about central and southern parts of the coast and eastern ranges with locally moderate to heavy falls. Isolated showers about the north coast, western slopes of the ranges and about far western border areas. South to southeast winds, fresh to strong along parts of the coast.Tuesday 25 JuneRain about northern parts of the coast and eastern ranges with locally moderate to heavy falls.
