Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 19/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow moving low pressure system lies near New Zealand and a high pressure system south of Tasmania extends a ridge to northern New South Wales and across the western Tasman Sea. The ridge will weaken during Friday and a low pressure trough will develop across the western parts of the state. This trough is expected to move offshore later on Saturday or Sunday as another high moves towards Tasmania extending a ridge across the state.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayEarly frost and fog in the southern inland and ranges. Isolated coastal showers and clearing showers on the Alps, falling as snow above 1200 metres. Mostly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds.Friday 21 JuneIsolated showers developing in the northeast and in the far southwest. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Early frost and fog on the slopes and ranges. Southeast to northeast winds.Saturday 22 JuneIsolated coastal showers and in the far west. The Chance of showers in the northeastern inland. Southeast to northeast winds.Sunday 23 JunePartly cloudy in the southwest. Isolated showers elsewhere tending scattered near the central coast.
