Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 18/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred to the southwest of Tasmania extends a ridge northwards to far western Victoria. This system will move slowly eastwards across Victoria today and Thursday. A low pressure system will approach western Victoria from the west during Friday before moving towards southern New South Wales on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayScattered showers over East Gippsland. Isolated showers over the remainder of Gippsland and near the central coast, but fine and mostly sunny elsewhere after morning fog patches. Early frosts, then a cool day with mainly light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Thursday 20 JuneWidespread early frost and morning fog patches otherwise fine apart from isolated showers over Gippsland. A cool, mostly sunny day with light and variable winds.Friday 21 JuneWidespread early frost and morning fog patches. Isolated showers developing in the west during the afternoon. A cool day with a light to moderate northerly wind.Saturday 22 JuneIsolated showers in the west contracting northwards during the day. Isolated showers developing in the far east during the afternoon. Fine elsewhere.
