Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 18/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow moving complex low pressure system lies over the southwestern Tasman Sea while a high pressure ridge lies over the Bight. The high will move eastwards over the next couple of days to be over the western Tasman Sea by late Thursday or Friday morning. The next cold front/trough is expected to move over the western parts of the state on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayPartly cloudy over the northern half of the state. Scattered showers in the southeast, with snow on the ranges above 1200 metres and local thunder possible near the coast and the central ranges. Southwest winds, fresh along the coast. Dangerous surf conditions.Wednesday 19 JuneIsolated coastal showers, most widespread and with local thunder around central parts of the coast. Isolated snow showers on the Alps. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Early frost and fog on the slopes and ranges. South to southeasterly winds.Thursday 20 JuneIsolated coastal showers, most widespread around the Hunter coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Early frost and fog on the slopes and ranges. Southeast to northeast winds.Friday 21 JuneIsolated showers in the northeast and, late in the day, the far southwest. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Early frost and fog on the slopes and ranges. Southeast to northeast winds.Saturday 22 JuneIsolated coastal showers. Isolated showers in the far west.
