MELBOURNE - Jun 17/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A slow moving complex low pressure system lies over the southwestern Tasman Sea while a high pressure ridge lies over the Bight. The high will move eastwards over the next couple of days to be over the western Tasman Sea by Friday morning. The next cold front/trough is expected to move over the western parts of the state on Saturday. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers in the southeast with snow showers on the Alps above 1200m. Isolated showers on central parts of the coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Early fog and frost on the slopes and ranges. Southwest winds.Tuesday 18 JunePartly cloudy over the northern half of the state. Isolated showers elsewhere, tending scattered on the western slopes of the southern ranges and with snow showers above 1200 metres. Partly cloudy remainder. Early frost on the slopes and ranges. Southwest winds.Wednesday 19 JuneIsolated coastal showers, most widespread around central parts of the coast. Isolated snow showers on the Alps. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Early frost on the slopes and ranges. South to southeasterly winds.Thursday 20 JuneIsolated coastal showers, most widespread around central parts of the coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
