Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 14/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure system over the southwestern Tasman Sea is slowly tracking northeast. This low is expected to remain very slow moving until Wednesday when a high pressure system moves south of the Bight extending a ridge across western and northeastern New South Wales and into the northern Tasman Sea.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayPartly cloudy. Scattered showers in the far southeast and along the south coast, most widespread near the Victorian border. Isolated showers on the central coastal fringe and drizzle or showers about the northern slopes and ranges. Snow showers on the Alps above 1500m, lowering to 1400m by evening. South to southwest winds, windy along the south and central coast and southern ranges.Sunday 16 JuneIsolated showers on the south and central coasts and over the southern ranges, more frequent near the Victorian border. Snow showers over the Alps above 1300m. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds.Monday 17 JuneIsolated showers on the south and central coasts and over the southern ranges. Snow showers over the Alps above 1300m. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southwest winds.Tuesday 18 JuneIsolated showers in the far southeast, most frequent near the coast. The chance of showers over the ranges and slopes. Snow showers over the Alps above 1200 metres. Partly cloudy remainder.
