Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 13/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A complex low pressure system is moving over the southwestern Tasman Sea from the west. This low is expected to be very slow moving until Wednesday when a high pressure system moves south of the Bight extending a ridge across western and northeastern New South Wales and into the northern Tasman Sea.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers, tending scattered in the southeast with snow showers on the Alps above 1700 metres. Widespread showers over the South Coast in the early morning with possible locally heavy falls in the far south. West to northwest winds, tending southwest to southeast in the south.Friday 14 JunePartly cloudy in the far southwest and the north coast and adjacent ranges. Scattered showers in the far southeast. Isolated showers elsewhere. Snow showers on the Alps above 1700m lowering to 1500m by evening. Northwest to southwest winds, ahead of a windy south to southeast change in the far southeast of the state.Saturday 15 JunePartly cloudy. Scattered showers in the far southeast. Isolated showers in the northeast and drizzle about slopes and ranges. Southwest to southeast winds, windy along the south coast and southern ranges.Sunday 16 JuneIsolated showers on the south and central coasts and on the Alps. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
