MELBOURNE - Jun 11/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is moving east maintaining a ridge over northern New South Wales. In the west a trough attached to a low pressure system over South Australia will move across the state tomorrow and extend offshore early on Thursday deepening as it moves over the southern Tasman Sea. The trough and the low are expected to move slowly east away from the coast during Friday and Saturday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers west of the Divide with rain areas in the far west. Isolated showers over the north coast. Isolated thunderstorms in the far west. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Northeast to southeast winds.Wednesday 12 JuneAreas of fog in the southeast of the state in the morning. Rain areas throughout, easing to isolated showers in the far west later. Isolated thunderstorms, except in the southeast. Northeast to northwest winds tending southwest in the far west in the afternoon.Thursday 13 JuneThe chance of showers in the west. Rain areas elsewhere tending widespread on the far south coast and adjacent ranges. Northeast to northwest winds, but west to southwest in the west of the state. Winds tend east to southeast over the south coast.Friday 14 JunePartly cloudy in the far southwest and the north coast and adjacent ranges. Scattered showers on the south coast. The chance of showers elsewhere. Northwest to southwest winds, ahead of a windy south to southeast change in the far southeast of the state.Saturday 15 JunePartly cloudy. Isolated showers over the far southeast of the state, tending scattered over the southern ranges. Morning drizzle about the Northern Tablelands.
