Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 11/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low 1008 hPa near Venus Bay will move eastwards to be centred near Port Augusta late Tuesday evening then over western New South Wales late Wednesday morning. A high will be centred well south of the Bight from Wednesday evening through to Friday evening.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayAreas of rain and scattered showers with possible isolated thunderstorms over central and eastern districts and Lower Eyre Peninsula, tending to scattered showers about western coasts and the remainder of Eyre Peninsula. Fine northwest of Coober Pedy. Isolated showers elsewhere. Cool to mild with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, turning fresh and gusty westerly in the west and strong southerly about western coasts and southern parts of central coasts.Wednesday 12 JuneRain over Kangaroo Island and eastern agricultural districts, easing to scattered showers. Scattered showers over the remainder of the agricultural area, becoming isolated by evening except about southern coasts. Fine northwest of Woomera. Isolated showers elsewhere. Cool with moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds, strong about western and southern coasts.Thursday 13 JuneIsolated showers over coastal districts, possibly extending over eastern districts south of Leigh Creek and tending scattered over the South East district and southern Fleurieu Peninsula in the morning. Cool with moderate southwest to southeast winds, fresh at times in the east and near the coast.Friday 14 JuneIsolated showers about coastal districts, possibly extending over eastern districts south of Leigh Creek. Cool conditions with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds, fresh about the coasts.Saturday 15 JuneIsolated showers about central and southern coastal districts. Cool to mild with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday afternoon until midnight Saturday are expected to be less than 2 mm northwest of Woomera and 2 to 10 mm over the remainder of the Pastoral districts, the Flinders, Mid North and West Coast districts. 10 to 20 mm elsewhere, reaching 20 to 40 mm about Kangaroo Island and southern Fleurieu Peninsula.Sunday until TuesdayPossible isolated showers near the coasts, fine elsewhere.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
