MELBOURNE - Jun 10/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low 1012 hPa over the west of the Bight is expected to move east to be near Elliston late Tuesday morning, Port Augusta late Tuesday evening and over western NSW by midday Wednesday. A high will move in south of the Bight on Wednesday and then move very slowly southeastwards. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers about southern coastal districts and in the west, tending to scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the far west. Cool to mild with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, turning fresh to strong westerly about the far west coast.Tuesday 11 JuneAreas of rain and scattered showers with possible isolated thunderstorms over the west of the State, extending to most central and eastern districts and easing to scattered showers near the coast in the west. Early morning fog patches southeast of a line Coffin Bay to Leigh Creek. Cool to mild with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, turning fresh and gusty westerly in the west and strong southerly about western coasts and southern parts of central coasts.Wednesday 12 JuneAreas of rain and scattered showers over the agricultural area and south of the Northeast Pastoral, apart from the Lower South East. Fine northwest of Woomera. Isolated showers elsewhere. Cool with moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds, strong about western coasts and southern parts of central coasts in the morning.Thursday 13 JuneIsolated showers over coastal districts, possibly extending over eastern districts south of Leigh Creek. Cool with moderate southwest to southeast winds, fresh at times in the east and near the coast.Friday 14 JuneIsolated showers about coastal districts, possibly extending over eastern districts south of Leigh Creek. Cool conditions with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds, fresh about the coasts.
