MELBOURNE - Jun 10/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over the southwestern Tasman Sea is moving east maintaining a ridge to northern New South Wales. During Tuesday and Wednesday a low pressure trough with a low embedded in it will move across the state. This trough will move offshore early on Thursday and the low will deepen over the southern Tasman Sea. The trough and the low are expected to move slowly east away from the coast during Friday and Saturday. Forecast for the rest of MondayGenerally dry and partly cloudy in the far west. Patchy rain elsewhere, more widespread over the central north then later about the northeast. The chance of thunderstorms over the northern inland. Morning fog areas, mostly in the east. Light to moderate northeast to southeast winds.Tuesday 11 JuneIsolated showers west of the Divide, tending to rain areas in the far west later with possible thunderstorms. Isolated showers in the far northeast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Northeast to Southeast winds.Wednesday 12 JuneRain areas west of the divide, easing in the far west. Isolated showers remainder, more widespread in the far northeast. Chance of thunderstorms in the northeast. Southeast to northeast winds, tending southwesterly in the west.Thursday 13 JuneScattered showers in the south and about the western slopes of the central and northern ranges. Generally dry along central and northern parts of the coast and in the far west.
