Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 10/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred over the Tasman Sea will continue to move away to the east. A low pressure system is expected to develop over the Bight later today, then move eastwards across South Australia during Tuesday to be centred over the eastern states on Wednesday. Another high will become established to the south of the State late in the week.
Forecast for the rest of MondayPossible early morning fog inland. Isolated showers developing about southern coastal districts and in the west during the day. Showers in the west increasing to scattered during the evening. Possible thunderstorms developing west of about Eyre Peninsula and Coober Pedy, most likely about the coast west of about Fowlers Bay in the evening. Cool to mild with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, tending southeasterly in the far northeast.Tuesday 11 JuneIsolated showers or patchy rain extending across all but the far northeast, increasing to scattered showers and areas of rain at times over parts southeast of Coober Pedy and northwest of Keith. Isolated thunderstorms are also possible over parts southeast of Coober Pedy and northwest of Keith. Cool to mild with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds freshening ahead of a fresh southwest to southeasterly change.Wednesday 12 JuneAreas of rain and scattered showers over the agricultural area, apart from the Lower South East, and far south of the Flinders and North East Pastoral districts easing to isolated showers during the day. Isolated showers over remaining parts of the south and east. Cool with moderate to fresh south to southwesterly winds.Thursday 13 June
Isolated showers about coastal districts. Cool with moderate south to southeast winds, fresh at times in the east and near southern coasts.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday morning until midnight Thursday are expected to be up to 10 mm over the Lower South East and the far north and west, 10 to 20 mm over remaining parts and possible falls of 15 to 30 mm over parts of the agricultural area and far south of the pastoral districts with heavier rain, showers or thunderstorms.
Friday until SundayIsolated light showers about coastal districts gradually contracting to southern coasts and ranges. Cool conditions with moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, tending northeasterly in the west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Monday.Product IDS10033
