Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 9/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred over the southeast of New South Wales will move eastwards to be centred over the Tasman Sea today. A low pressure system is expected to develop over the Bight later on Monday then move eastwards across South Australia during the middle of the week. Another high will become established to the south of the State late in the week.
Forecast for the rest of SundayFine apart from possible isolated showers about the far northeast. Possible early morning frost inland. A cool to mild day with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, tending southeasterly in the far northeast.Monday 10 JunePossible early morning fog inland. Isolated showers developing about coastal districts and in the far west during the day. Cool to mild with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, tending southeasterly in the far northeast.Tuesday 11 JuneIsolated showers extending across all but the far northeast, increasing to scattered showers at times over western and central districts and the southwest of the North East Pastoral district. Possible isolated thunderstorms over the western and central districts and the southwest of the North East Pastoral district. Cool to mild with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds freshening in the west ahead of a fresh southwest to southerly change.Wednesday 12 June
Isolated showers over the North West Pastoral and South East districts. Scattered showers over remaining parts contracting eastwards and becoming isolated by late evening. Cool with moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds extending throughout then easing.
Cumulative rainfall totals for the rest of Sunday and through to midnight Wednesday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm in the South East, Murraylands and the far north and west, 5 to 15 mm over remaining parts with possible local falls of 20 to 30 mm with heavier showers and thunderstorms.
Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers in the south and east contracting to southern coastal districts by Friday. Cool days with moderate south to southeast winds, fresh at times near southern coasts, turning light to moderate southeast to northeasterly later.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Sunday.Product IDS10033
