MELBOURNE - Jun 8/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over northern Victoria will move into the Tasman Sea on Sunday while a a low pressure system crosses Bight waters. The weak low pressure system will approach Tasmania on Monday with an associated trough extending into southwest Victoria Monday night. The trough will remain slow moving over southwest Victoria on Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine. Light north to northwesterly winds.Sunday 9 JuneEarly fog and frost patches inland then a fine and mostly sunny day. High cloud increasing in the west. Cool to mild with light to moderate northerly winds.Monday 10 JuneMorning fog and frost patches inland. Fine apart from isolated showers about the southwest coast and over the far northeast. Light to moderate northerly winds, locally freshening in the south.Tuesday 11 JuneMorning fog and frost patches in the east. Isolated showers developing over most southern and mountain areas but remaining dry in the east. Patchy rain developing over the northwest. Cool and partly cloudy with light to moderate northwesterly winds.Wednesday 12 JuneIsolated showers tending to areas of rain in the north.
