Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 7/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over South Australia will drift across northern Victoria on Saturday to reach the Tasman Sea on Sunday. A low pressure system will cross Bight waters on Sunday and approach Tasmania on Monday although it is expected to be weakening and a trough will extend to southwest Victoria Monday night.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers in the south, contracting to the coast and clearing later this evening. Cloud clearing inland and rather cold southwesterly winds becoming light.Saturday 8 JuneEarly fog and frost patches inland then a fine and mostly sunny day. Cool to mild with light winds tending northerly.Sunday 9 JuneEarly fog and frost patches inland then a fine and mostly sunny day. High cloud increasing in the west. Cool to mild with light to moderate northerly winds.Monday 10 JuneMorning fog and frost patches inland. Fine apart from isolated showers about the southwest coast and over the far northeast. Light to moderate northerly winds, locally freshening in the south.Tuesday 11 JuneIsolated showers developing over most southern and mountain areas but remaining dry over the far north and east. Cool and partly cloudy with generally light winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Saturday.Product IDV10310
