Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 6/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
Cloud is streaming into the state from northwestern Australia while a broad low pressure trough over the Southern Ocean moves eastwards. A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is weakening and also moving eastwards. As the trough, and an associated front, moves northeastwards on Friday into NSW, the cloud will contract out of the state into Queensland. The front will bring a south to southwesterly wind change to much of the state during Friday or Saturday, before the wind shifts eastwards as another high develops in the Tasman Sea.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayCloudy with patches of light rain in the south and west. Mostly fine in the northeast. Northeast to northwest winds.Friday 7 JuneFine in the far northeast and far southwest. Cloudy with patches of light rain in the south and west, mostly clearing during the day. Northwest to northeast winds turning south to southwesterly on the south coast.Saturday 8 JuneIsolated showers on the northern coast and adjacent ranges. Partly cloudy. Southeast to northeast winds.Sunday 9 JuneIsolated showers on the northern coast and adjacent ranges. Isolated showers also developing in the far northwest during the day, becoming more widespread towards the Queensland and SA border areas. Southeast to northeast winds.Monday 10 JuneShowers contracting to eastern parts of the state during the day.
