Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 6/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front south of Kangaroo Island will move across South Australian coastal districts this evening and into Victoria on Friday morning. A high west of Perth will move over the Bight on Friday. A weak trough will move into the far west of the state late on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayThe isolated showers about southern coasts extending northwards during the evening to south of about Ceduna to Clare and increasing to scattered about the southern agricultural area. Possible patchy rain north of about Leigh Creek to Giles, more likely in the far north. Light to moderate west to northwesterly winds, fresh in the south ahead of a cooler west to southwesterly change during the evening.Friday 7 JuneIsolated showers over the agricultural area and West Coast district, scattered in the east during the early morning, easing during the day and contracting to the Lower South East coast in the evening. Possible patchy rain in the far north. Cool to mild with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds easing.Saturday 8 JunePossible isolated light showers over southern coasts. Generally mild with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Sunday 9 JuneFine apart from possible isolated afternoon or evening showers about the far northeast. Generally mild with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds, tending southeasterly in the far northeast.Monday 10 JunePossible isolated showers developing about coastal districts from the west. Cool to mild with light to moderate north to northwesterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday afternoon until midnight Monday are expected to be 3 to 10 mm about the southern agricultural area and far north of the state, with isolated local falls of 10 to 20 mm, and up to 3 mm elsewhere.Tuesday until ThursdayIsolated showers extending over northern and western parts of the state and coastal areas before contracting to eastern parts north of Renmark on Thursday. Cool to mild with mainly light to moderate southeast to southwesterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Friday.Product IDS10033
