MELBOURNE - Jun 4/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system is moving eastwards across New South Wales and will reach the Tasman Sea on Wednesday as a cold front approaches western Victoria. The front will weaken and slip away to the south on Thursday. Another front will enter southwest Victoria on Thursday night, moving through the State on Friday morning. Meanwhile another high pressure system will move across northern victoria on Friday and reinforce the Tasman Sea high on Saturday, as the next front moves through waters south of the Bight. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated coastal showers. Generally cloudy. Light winds tending north to northwesterly over the west.Wednesday 5 JuneEarly fog inland, mainly in the east. Early frost patches over the northeast. Mostly cloudy with isolated showers possible over the west late in the day. A mild day with light to moderate northerly winds freshening about elevated areas in the afternoon.Thursday 6 JuneIsolated showers near the ranges and over the southwest, extending eastwards in the evening and at night. Isolated snow showers on the alpine peaks. Strong north to northwesterly winds shifting southwesterly in the west late in the day or at night.Friday 7 JuneScattered showers extending across southern and mountain districts in the morning and clearing from the west later. Only isolated showers in the north. Isolated snow showers on the alpine peaks. Mild and mainly cloudy with moderate to fresh westerly winds extending throughout.Saturday 8 JuneEarly fog patches inland. Isolated showers in the southwest.
