MELBOURNE - Jun 2/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front over the Tasman Sea will continue to move east as a high pressure system moves over the Bight tonight and Monday. The high will move across northern Victoria on Tuesday and across the Tasman Sea on Wednesday. The next cold front will cross the Bight during Thursday. Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers south of the ranges. Moderate to locally fresh south to southwesterly winds.Monday 3 JuneEarly fog patches inland and early frost over the northeast, locally severe. Isolated showers in the south, scattered over West Gippsland and near the East Gippsland coast. Dry over the northern plains. A cool to mild day with light to moderate south to southwesterly winds, fresh along the Gippsland coast.Tuesday 4 JuneEarly fog patches inland and early frost over the northeast. Isolated showers in the south, mainly near the coast and clearing during the afternoon. Otherwise a dry, mild and partly cloudy day with light west to southwesterly winds tending north to northwesterly over the west in the afternoon.Wednesday 5 JuneEarly fog inland, mainly in the east. Early frost patches over the northeast. Mostly cloudy with isolated showers developing over the west late in the day. A mild day with light to moderate northerly winds freshening about elevated areas in the afternoon.Thursday 6 JuneEarly fog patches in Gippsland. Isolated showers near the ranges and over the southwest.
