Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 1/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front crossing Tasmania this morning will maintain a cool, fresh southwest to southerly airflow over Victoria today. The next high pressure system will move over the Bight on Monday and will be approaching northwest Victoria Monday night. The high will move across northern Victoria on Tuesday and across the Tasman Sea on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayRain over the far northeast clearing early this morning. Scattered showers on and south of the ranges, possibly falling as snow above 1500 metres. A cool day with moderate to fresh south to southwesterly winds.Monday 3 JuneEarly fog patches inland and early frost over the northeast. Isolated showers in the south, scattered near the central and western coasts. Snow possible above 1500 metres during the morning. Dry over the northern plains. A cool to mild day with moderating south to southwesterly winds.Tuesday 4 JuneEarly fog patches inland and early frost over the northeast. Isolated showers in the south, mainly near the coast and clearing during the afternoon and evening. A cool to mild day with light west to southwesterly winds tending north to northwesterly over the west in the afternoon.Wednesday 5 JuneEarly fog and frost patches over the northeast. Cloudy with isolated showers developing over the west late in the day. A mild day with light to moderate northerly winds freshening about elevated areas in the afternoon.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Sunday.Product IDV10310
