Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 28/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system over southeastern Australia is directing an east to northeasterly stream over NSW. This high will slowly move east towards New Zealand over the next few days, maintaining the ridge to northwestern New South Wales. The next cold front/trough system is expected to cross the state from the west during Saturday and Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayAreas of morning fog over the ranges and slopes. Isolated showers in the far northeast, tending scattered on the coast. The chance of isolated showers over the western slopes and plains in the afternoon. Isolated light showers developing in the southwest during the evening. Partly cloudy remainder. Northwest to northeasterly winds.Thursday 30 MayCloudy with isolated showers over the south and west of the state, most widespread and frequent about the southern slopes. Isolated showers on the far north coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Northeast to northwest winds.Friday 31 MayCloudy with areas of rain over the south and west of the state, most widespread and frequent about the southern slopes. Isolated showers on the far north coast. Northeast to northwest winds.Saturday 1 JuneCloudy with areas of rain throughout, most widespread and frequent about the southern ranges and slopes.
