Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 28/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1032 hPa over the Tasman Sea is slowly moving east. A trough of low pressure will weaken and slide southeastwards across western coasts on Wednesday. A cold front will move across the State during Friday and Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayHigh cloud increasing in the west with possible isolated light showers over the far west. Cool with light to moderate northerly winds.Wednesday 29 MayHigh cloud increasing throughout with possible isolated showers south of Coober Pedy to Leigh Creek, gradually extending from the west. Mild with light to moderate northeast to northwest winds.Thursday 30 MayCloudy with possible isolated showers south of about Giles to Marree, more likely near ocean coasts. Mild with moderate northerly winds, turning westerly in the far west.Friday 31 MayPatchy rain extending throughout, increasing over some central regions and easing to isolated showers in the west. Generally mild with moderate north to northwesterly winds shifting moderate to fresh westerly in the west.Saturday 1 JunePatchy rain in the east during the morning with scattered showers to follow in the southeast, tending isolated further west. Cool to mild with fresh westerly winds shifting southerly from the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday afternoon to midnight Saturday are expected to be 20 to 40 mm about some central regions, 10 to 20 mm, over much of the remainder of the State, but decreasing to less than 5 mm in the far north and west.Sunday until TuesdayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, contracting south and clearing later in the period. Showers possibly extending to the Flinders and southern and western pastorals during Sunday. Generally cool with moderate south to southeasterly winds turning northerly on Tuesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
