MELBOURNE - May 27/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system east of Bass Strait will move steadily eastwards across the Tasman Sea over the next few days. The next cold front will slip to the south of Bass Strait late on Wednesday. Another cold front and low pressure trough will approach western Victoria on Thursday then will move eastwards across the State on Friday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayMorning fog and frost patches. A cool to mild and partly cloudy day with generally light to moderate northerly winds.Wednesday 29 MayDry across most districts, but isolated showers possible about the northeast ranges and over the far northwest in the afternoon and evening. Cool to mild and partly cloudy with moderate to locally fresh northerly winds, strong about Alpine areas.Thursday 30 MayIsolated showers over the north and west, tending to rain areas about the northeast ranges. Mainly fine over the Central district and Gippsland. A generally mild and mostly cloudy day with moderate to locally fresh northerly winds.Friday 31 MayAreas of rain extending to most districts, but just patchy rain over the far northwest and far southeast.
