MELBOURNE - May 27/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A strong high pressure system over southeastern Australia is slowly moving east and directing an east to southeasterly stream and coastal showers over NSW. This high will slowly move east towards New Zealand over the next few days, maintaining the ridge to northwestern New South Wales. The next cold front/trough system is expected to cross the state from the west during Saturday and Sunday. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers developing along the coast, becoming more widespread and extending inland to the south and central eastern ranges tonight. East to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 28 MayEarly frost and fogs. Scattered showers and drizzle areas along the coast and eastern ranges, clearing from the south during the afternoon and evening. Mostly sunny in the northwest. Partly cloudy remainder. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Wednesday 29 MayPatchy fog over the ranges. Isolated showers in the far northeast, tending scattered on the coast. The chance of isolated showers over the western slopes and plains in the afternoon, most likely on the southern slopes. Partly cloudy remainder. Northwest to northeasterly winds.Thursday 30 MayCloudy with isolated showers over the south and west of the state, most widespread and frequent about the southern slopes. Isolated showers on the far north coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Northeast to northwest winds.Friday 31 MayCloudy with isolated showers over the south and west of the state, most widespread and frequent about the southern slopes.
