Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 26/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system is forecast to move through southern New South Wales on Sunday and into Monday, with an associated high pressure ridge dominating the weather for the state. This high will move over the southwestern Tasman Sea later on Monday and then slowly east towards New Zealand, maintaining the ridge to the northwest of New South Wales. On Thursday a pre-frontal trough is likely to affect the southwest of the state, with the next cold front expected to cross the state on Friday or Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayThe chance of a coastal shower in the far north. Partly cloudy over the southwest and near the coastal fringe. Fine and mostly sunny remainder. Southwest to southeasterly winds.Monday 27 MayAreas of morning frost and patchy fog over the ranges, western slopes and the southern inland. Isolated coastal showers developing along the coast, increasing to scattered during the afternoon. Partly cloudy in the south. Mostly sunny remainder. South to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 28 MayEarly frost areas and patchy fog. Scattered showers along the coast, easing to isolated during the day. Mostly sunny in the northwest. Partly cloudy remainder. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Wednesday 29 MayPatchy fog over the ranges. Isolated showers on the north coast, tending scattered on the far north coast. Partly cloudy remainder. Northwest to northeasterly winds.Thursday 30 MayIsolated showers over the south and west of the state, more frequent about the southern slopes and increasing to rain later.
