MELBOURNE - May 25/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system centred near Adelaide will move slowly southeastwards today as a weak cold front moves into the Tasman Sea. The high will drift across the State on Monday and will be centred over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday and Wednesday. The next low pressure trough will approach western Victoria late Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayEarly frost and fog patches in the north. Isolated showers near the coast extending inland during the afternoon but remaining dry over much of the north and East Gippsland. Cool to mild with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds, fresh at times near the Central and Gippsland coasts.Monday 27 MayAreas of fog inland and early frost patches in the northeast. Isolated showers in southern districts, contracting to the Gippsland coast during the morning then clearing during the afternoon. Mostly sunny in the north. Cool to mild with generally light winds.Tuesday 28 MayFine after morning fog patches. Early frost inland. A cool to mild and mainly sunny day with a light to moderate northerly wind.Wednesday 29 MayLocal morning fog patches in the east. Dry across most districts, but isolated showers possible about the central and eastern ranges during the afternoon and also over the southwest at night.
