MELBOURNE - May 24/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A complex low pressure system over the northwestern Tasman Sea is moving east-southeast and weakening as a strong high pressure system moves towards the Bass Strait strengthening a ridge across New South Wales. The high will move east of Tasmania later on Monday and then it is expected to continue moving east towards New Zealand maintaining the ridge to the northwest of the state. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayAreas of frost and patchy fog over the ranges and western slopes. Isolated showers along the northern coast, more widespread along the coast coastal fringe. Isolated early showers on the central coast. Mostly sunny remainder. South to southwesterly winds, fresh to strong along the north coast. Dangerous surf conditions in the north, easing.Sunday 26 MayAreas of morning frost and patchy fog over the ranges, western slopes and southern inland. Isolated coastal showers in the north. Fine and mostly sunny remainder. Southwest to southeast winds.Monday 27 MayEarly frost areas and patchy fog. Isolated coastal showers over the central and northern coasts. Mostly sunny remainder.
