MELBOURNE - May 24/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A complex low pressure system off the Mid North Coast will move to the northeast this evening then more rapidly east/southeast during Saturday. A strong high pressure system will approach New South Wales over the weekend then move into the Tasman Sea early next week. Forecast for the rest of FridayRain and isolated thunderstorms on the north coast with local heavy falls. Scattered showers along the remainder of the coast and eastern ranges, possible heavy at times. Mostly clear in the west. Southerly winds, strong to locally gale force along the north coast. Dangerous surf conditions in the north.Saturday 25 MayAreas of frost and patchy fog over the ranges and western slopes. Isolated showers along the northern coast, more widespread along the coast coastal fringe. Isolated early showers on the central coast. Mostly sunny remainder. South to southwesterly winds, fresh to strong along the north coast. Dangerous surf conditions in the north, easing.Sunday 26 MayAreas of frost and patchy fog over the ranges, western slopes and southern inland during the morning. Isolated coastal showers in the north. Fine and mostly sunny remainder. Southwest to southeast winds.Monday 27 MayEarly frost areas and patchy fog. Isolated coastal showers over the central and northern coasts. Mostly sunny remainder. Southeast to southwest winds.Tuesday 28 MayEarly frost areas and patchy fog. Isolated coastal showers over the central and northern coasts. Mostly sunny remainder.
