MELBOURNE - May 23/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure centre off the Mid North Coast will deepen during Friday before moving rapidly east to southeast during Saturday. Behind the trough a high pressure ridge is expected to develop across New South Wales on Saturday. Forecast for the rest of FridayRain and showers in the eastern half with possible heavy falls near the central and northern coasts. The chance of thunderstorms over the northern ranges and coast, contracting to the coastal fringe during the morning. Partly cloudy in the west. Southerly winds.Saturday 25 MayAreas of frost and patchy fog over the ranges and slopes. Isolated showers east of the central and northern ranges, more frequent near the coast. Mostly sunny remainder. South to southwesterly winds.Sunday 26 MayAreas of widespread frost and patchy fog over the ranges and slopes and southern inland. Isolated coastal showers in the north. Partly cloudy remainder. Southwest to southeast winds.Monday 27 MayAreas of frost and patchy fog. Isolated coastal over the central and northern coasts. Mostly sunny remainder.
