Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 22/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
During Thursday a low pressure surface trough will move across the state followed by an upper trough. The surface trough will deepen into a low off the central coast on Thursday night or early Friday before moving rapidly east to southeast during Saturday. Behind the trough a high pressure ridge is expected to develop across New South Wales on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayRain in the east, increasing near the central and southern coasts with possible heavy falls. Isolated showers over the northern and western inland, more frequent in the northwest with the chance of thunderstorms. Partly cloudy over the southern inland. South to southeast winds, tending light and variable in the northeast.Friday 24 MayRain and showers in the eastern half with possible heavy falls near the central and northern coasts. Partly cloudy in the west. Southerly winds.Saturday 25 MayIsolated showers east of the central and northern ranges, more frequent near the coast. Mostly sunny remainder. South to southwesterly winds.Sunday 26 MayIsolated coastal showers in the north. Partly cloudy remainder.
