MELBOURNE - May 22/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low 1006 hPa is now centred over western New South Wales. A high will move over the Bight on Friday. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers south of about Coober Pedy, contracting to the agricultural area and south of the North East Pastoral district by evening. Showers increasing to scattered over central and eastern parts of the agricultural area in the late afternoon or evening. Cool with moderate northeast to northwest winds in the east, turning southwest to southeast during the day. Fresh to strong south to southwesterly winds in the west.Thursday 23 MayPossible early morning fog in the South East. Isolated showers, becoming less likely during the afternoon and contracting to the coasts by evening. Showers increasing to scattered in the Riverland, Mid North and southeast of the North East Pastoral district in the morning. Cool with moderate southerly winds.Friday 24 MayPossible early morning fog south of about Woomera to Yunta. The chance of isolated showers about the agricultural area and West Coast district, more likely about southern coasts. Cool with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Saturday 25 MayPossible early morning fog south of about Woomera to Yunta. Possible isolated showers about southern coasts and the southeast. Cool with mostly light winds.Sunday 26 MayPossible early morning fog in the South East. Possible isolated showers about Kangaroo Island, the Fleurieu Peninsula and the South East. Cool to mild with generally light variable winds, becoming light to moderate northeasterly in the west during the day. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday afternoon to midnight Sunday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm over the agricultural area and south of the North East Pastoral district, and less than 2 mm over the remainder. Possible falls of 10 to 20 mm about the ranges until Thursday afternoon.Monday until WednesdayFine apart from possible showers developing in the far west of the state on Wednesday.
