Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 21/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low 1001 hPa southwest of Ceduna will continue to move eastwards, reaching Eyre Peninsula late evening and western New South Wales Wednesday afternoon. A high will move over the Bight on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayAreas of rain northwest of about Murray Bridge to Renmark, extending over most of the remainder of the State and easing to scattered showers and the chance of isolated thunderstorms over the West Coast district and isolated showers over the Northwest Pastoral district, but remaining clear in the northwest. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northeast to northerly winds, shifting fresh westerly in the west, then strong southerly about the far west coast late evening.Wednesday 22 MayAreas of rain east of about Port Lincoln to Leigh Creek, contracting east and clearing during the afternoon. Isolated showers otherwise, tending scattered over central parts and the west coast. Cool with moderate northeast to northwest winds over central and eastern parts, turning southwest to southeast during the day. Fresh to strong south to southwesterly winds in the west.Thursday 23 MayIsolated showers contracting to the coasts by evening. Showers increasing to scattered in the Riverland and southeast of the North East Pastoral district in the morning. Cool with moderate southerly winds.Friday 24 MayPossible early morning fog south of about Woomera to Yunta. The chance of isolated showers about the agricultural area and West Coast district. Cool with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Saturday 25 MayPossible early morning fog about the agricultural area and southern Pastoral districts. Possible isolated showers about southern coasts and the southeast. Cool with mostly light winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday afternoon to midnight Saturday are expected to be generally 10 to 20 mm over the agricultural area and North East Pastoral district with isolated falls of 20 to 30 mm possible over Eyre Peninsula, the north of Yorke Peninsula, the Mid North and the Riverland. 5 to 10 mm over the South East district and the west of the State.Sunday until TuesdayFine apart from possible isolated showers about Kangaroo Island the Fleurieu Peninsula and the South East on Sunday. Cool to mild with generally light variable winds, becoming light to moderate northerly in the west on Sunday and extending throughout on Monday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
