Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 20/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure system centred just north of Perth will move eastwards and deepen over the Bight on Tuesday, then reach Eyre Peninsula Tuesday night and New South Wales on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers in the southeast, clearing this evening. Areas of rain extending from the west to reach a line Streaky Bay to Roxby Downs late this evening. Mild with moderate northerly winds turning southwest to southeast over the southeast.Tuesday 21 MayAreas of rain west of about Streaky Bay to Roxby Downs, extending over most of the remainder of the State and easing later to scattered showers over the West Coast district and isolated showers over the Northwest Pastoral district, then clearing in the northwest. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northeast to northerly winds, shifting fresh westerly in the west.Wednesday 22 MayAreas of rain east of about Port Lincoln to Leigh Creek, contracting southeast and clearing by evening. Isolated showers otherwise, increasing to scattered over the south-central region in the evening. Cool with moderate northeast to northwest winds over central and eastern parts, turning southwest to southeast during the day. Fresh to strong south to southwesterly winds in the west.Thursday 23 MayThe chance of isolated showers contracting to the coasts by evening. Cool with moderate southerly winds.Friday 24 MayThe chance of isolated showers about the agricultural area and West Coast district. Cool with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday afternoon to midnight Friday are expected to be 5 to 10 mm over the Lower South East district, increasing to 10 to 30 mm elsewhere, but reaching 30 to 50 mm in the far northwest and possibly locally over the south-central region.Saturday until MondayFine apart from possible showers about southern coasts and the southeast during the weekend.
