Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 20/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure ride over New South Wales is weakening. During Wednesday and Thursday a low pressure trough will move across the state follow by an upper trough. The surface trough will deepen into a low off the central coast on Thursday night or early Friday before moving rapidly east- southeast during Saturday. Behind the trough another high pressure trough is expected to develop throughout by Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers in the far southeast, with snow showers above 1500 metres. Mostly clear elsewhere. Southwest to northwest winds.Tuesday 21 MayRain developing in the far west late in the day and clearing showers on the western slopes of the far southern ranges. Cloud increasing from the west in the remainder. West to southwest winds in the southeast. Northeast to northwest winds remainder.Wednesday 22 MayCloudy. Rain extending throughout. Northeast to northwest winds, tending west to southwest in the far west.Thursday 23 MayRain throughout, clearing from the west later but increasing near the southern and central coasts with possible heavy falls. South to southeast winds, tending light and variable in the northeast.Friday 24 MayRain and showers in the eastern half with possible heave falls near the south and central coasts. Partly cloudy in the west. Southerly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EST Tuesday.Product IDN10031
