Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 15/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure system over western Bass Strait will move eastwards to reach the Tasman Sea by Thursday. A slow-moving high south of Western Australia will track eastwards during Thursday and Friday, reaching the eastern states at the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers over much of the agricultural area. Cool with light to moderate southwesterly winds, fresh at times about the Lower South East coast.Thursday 16 MayPossible early morning fog mostly over inland areas west of the Flinders and Mount Lofty Ranges. Isolated showers over the southern agricultural area, possibly scattered about northern Spencer Gulf for a period during the morning. Possible isolated afternoon showers over the northern agricultural area and southern Pastoral districts. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southerly winds.Friday 17 MayPossible isolated showers over the southern agricultural area contracting to southern coasts later in the day. Areas of fog in the west with possible fog and frost on and east of the Flinders and Mount Lofty Ranges. Cool to mild with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds becoming light and variable in the west.Saturday 18 MayPossible isolated showers clearing from the southern coasts later in the day. Areas of fog with possible frost on and east of the ranges. Cool to mild. Mainly light southerly winds, tending variable in the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday afternoon through to midnight Saturday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm over the agricultural area and the far west with isolated falls of 5 to 10 mm about coasts and ranges south of about Peterborough. Less than 2 mm elsewhere.Sunday 19 May
Early morning frost on and east of the Flinders and Mount Lofty Ranges. Fine at first. Some patchy rain developing over the west during the afternoon and evening, possibly extending over southern coastal areas. Generally mild, warmer in the far west. Mainly light winds turning light to moderate west to northwesterly over western and southern parts of the State.
Monday until WednesdayPatchy rain moving over the State early next week with isolated showers to follow over agricultural areas. Mild to warm with northwesterly winds ahead of a cooler southwest to southerly change.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Thursday.Product IDS10033
