Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 14/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front associated with a deepening low pressure system over Bass Strait will move across northeastern New South Wales today. This low will move slowly east over the next few days, bringing cooler conditions to southern parts of the state Wednesday and Thursday. A high pressure ridge will develop over the state towards the end of the week.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers in the northeast clearing during the evening. Isolated showers over the southern inland, falling as snow on the Alps above 1300 metres, increasing during the evening. Mostly clear elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds extending throughout.Wednesday 15 MayIsolated showers in the south, scattered on the western slopes of the ranges with snow showers above 1200 meters. Mostly clear elsewhere. Early frost patches about the ranges. Westerly winds, fresh in the south.Thursday 16 MayIsolated showers over the southern and central inland, tending scattered on the western slopes of the southern ranges with snow showers above 1400 metres. Partly cloudy elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds, fresh to strong about the southeastern third.Friday 17 MayIsolated showers in the far southeast, with snow on the Alps. Fine remainder. Early frost patches about the ranges. Southwesterly winds, fresh in the east.Saturday 18 MayIsolated showers in the far southeast, with snow possible on the Alps. Fine remainder.
